Site Strategics is an internet marketing and website development firm based in Indianapolis. It specialises in SEO using a range of customised strategies, including SEO, content marketing, pay-per-click (PPC), and graphic design.

Who is Kris Reid?

Founder of Ardor SEO and Ardor Media Factory, Kris Reid is known as the Coolest Guy in SEO. After graduating from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane as a software engineer, he worked in finance until the global financial crisis hit and he lost his job.

He stumbled upon SEO and discovered the crucial role of backlinks in search.

He developed a system to build and track backlinks and started selling them to SEO companies. This gave birth to a media factory that pumps out good quality content and builds links to help rank a site.

Kris started Ardor SEO a little over 6 years ago with offices in the Philippines and Phnom Penh.

What excites him about the SEO industry is that it’s never ending. Unfortunately, the barrier of entry is so low that just about anyone can call themselves SEOs and tarnish the rest of the legitimate ones.

Ready to dive into the deep end?

Starting an agency overseas has its perks…

Low cost of living that allows for competitive pricing. With an office in the Philippines, Kris can confidently say, “No western company can beat us on price.”

Moreover, the Philippines is one of the non-English speaking countries with the best level of English.

But it has its downsides too…

Different time zones throw a challenge in time management and communication can be a problem. Kris admits that communicating mostly through email makes him forget he’s dealing with people.

But there are strategies that can turn things around and on track.

On SEO and Intention Marketing

Keywords still matter…

But it’s not the end all and be all. In fact, Erin considers them “not the factor of success. It is literally the stepping stone to the success, which is the transaction with a consumer.”

Kris backs this up by saying that focusing too much on keywords will make you lose sight of what’s really driving revenue through SEO—delivering the solution that clients are looking for.

The complete SEO process starts with a keyword search and ends with what you can offer through that keyword. When a visitor reaches your sight what can they expect from it? What do you want them to do to satisfy their search?

Intention marketing is the new playing field…

The SEO as an industry is evolving and it’s beginning to realise that the rankings and the traffic are not the important things. What matters is giving people what they want.

This can be done by creating a consumer pathway that will lead them to their goal through content.

Live chat is your friend in the intention realm…

It personalised customer interaction. The simple knowledge that they are talking to an actual person or that there is someone behind the website humanises it. It also clears the popular belief that a website is nothing more than a brochure.

The problem with some website owners…

Is that they diagnose themselves, and this is something that impedes digital marketers and SEO specialists from doing their job. There are cases when they don’t divulge all of the details and the history of their experience with digital marketing and makes success in search elusive.

…but there are Quick Wins that Ardor SEO offers

It all starts with a comprehensive audit to identify the biggest issues that can easily give a good boost when fixed. No fancy tools needed either.
