Brian Gaister is a man of many hats in the field of business and finance: he is a registered financial advisor, entrepreneur, and investment analyst. He co-founded SaaS Ventures, a Software-as-a-Service company focusing on online applications, and Pennington Partners & Co., a US-based family office that offers comprehensive financial advising to successful business-owning families. He is also an Advisory Board Member of the Academy of Finance since October 2007.

With over 10 years of extensive experience under his belt, Brian Gaister has helped a variety of clients maintain and grow their net worth. He attended the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business. He undertook and passed three financial exams in 2007: the General Securities Representative Examination (General Industry/Product), Futures Managed Funds Examination (General Industry/Product), and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination or NASAA (State Securities Law).
Certified as an Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) and Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA®), Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Brian Gaister is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Investment Advisor.
Having received his certification, Brian worked for Morgan & Stanley as a Financial Advisor from 2007 to 2010, in a span of three years and three months. In 2010, he became a Wealth Mangement Advisor for Merrill Lynch, where for five years and three months, he had the opportunity to jointly take charge of a team, supervising assets and liabilities worth over $600 million.
In 2015, after gaining significant experience and learning valuable knowledge to develop his expertise, Brian Gaister set out to start his own entrepreneurial ventures: SaaS and Pennington Partners & Co, where he provides advisory services such as financial planning, portfolio management for individuals, pension consulting, wrap fee program, and securities portfolio management.
Due to his long years of experience in managing assets and liabilities under multinational firms, Brian Gaister witnessed the difficulties and challenges that come naturally in the world of investment, business, and finance. Thus, he dedicates his time to provide professional assistance in order to help entrepreneurs like him to grow and succeed in their chosen paths.
On top of his career, Brian Gaister contributes to the economic committee for the Bender JCC of Greater Washington, a community center that provides a variety of arts programs, such as music, film, dance, and readings, among others. As a way to give back to the community, Brian Gaister is also part of the Jewish Community Services, a non-profit organization in Baltimore, Maryland, that offers residential, family support, and individual support services for people with disabilities.
He is also a member of the Nexus Global Youth Summit, an international movement that aims to bring together young investors and social entrepreneurs to seek new ideas and innovative solutions in making the world a better, more sustainable, and more peaceful place.
